Designing for Tech

Planning Smart Home Infrastructure

Course Overview

The most successful technology rarely begins with equipment. It begins with planning.

This course explores how architects, designers, builders, and technology professionals can coordinate smart home infrastructure early in the design process. From media, lighting, security, networking, and automation to device placement, heat, electrical interference, maintenance, and future upgrades, participants learn how decisions made during design can affect safety, comfort, reliability, and long-term performance.
