LIGHT, INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED
Light Changes Everything
Great lighting is about more than illumination. It shapes architecture, reveals materials, creates atmosphere, and influences how a space feels throughout the day.
At SAV, we approach lighting as an integral part of the architecture—bringing lighting design, architectural fixtures, integrated lighting control, and natural daylight together from the beginning. From private residences to hospitality and commercial environments, our approach considers how light supports the design, enhances the experience, and transforms a space from morning through evening.
ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING
Designed in Layers
Exceptional lighting comes from understanding how different layers of light work together. We consider ambient, task, accent, and decorative lighting alongside fixture placement, beam angles, color temperature, materials, artwork, and architectural details to create a cohesive composition.
Integrated lighting control brings those layers together through thoughtfully designed scenes and elegant keypads, allowing an entire environment to transform with a single touch.
LIGHT + WELLNESS
In Rhythm with the Day
Natural and electric light can work together to create environments that feel bright and energizing during the day, then warmer and more relaxed as evening approaches.
By considering architectural lighting, automated shading, daylight, and integrated lighting control together, we create spaces that respond more naturally to changing conditions—supporting comfort, atmosphere, and everyday well-being.
DESIGN-BUILD COLLABORATION
Better When Designed Together
Exceptional lighting begins with the architecture. SAV works alongside architects, interior designers, builders, electricians, millworkers, and other craftspeople to ensure lighting is considered as part of the architecture from the beginning.
Our role can extend well beyond lighting control. We can provide complete architectural lighting design, specify fixtures, coordinate placement and beam angles, and develop layered lighting strategies around ceilings, cabinetry, artwork, furnishings, window treatments, materials, and architectural details. Getting involved early allows every layer—from the fixture itself to the way it is controlled—to work together as one considered experience.
When every layer is considered together, light becomes part of the architecture itself.
