Fells Ridge

Award-Winning Design. Thoughtfully Integrated.

Designed as a year-round mountain retreat, Fells Ridge (aka. Dunraven Ranch) balances the warmth and character of a traditional Montana home with an extraordinary level of modern technology. The project earned SAV the 2025 Technology Designer Performance Home Award for Best Design, recognizing the seamless relationship between architecture, aesthetics, and integrated technology.

Working closely with Miller-Roodell Architects and a team of specialized partners, SAV designed technology to disappear into the home wherever possible. More than 40 motorized shades retract into custom millwork, Lutron Palladiom keypads complement the interior finishes, and nearly invisible VESDA aspiration points replace conventional smoke detectors. Behind the scenes, carefully planned infrastructure supports lighting control, security and surveillance, distributed audio, a golf simulator, and even a grand piano that can be played remotely and heard throughout the residence.

At the heart of the experience is a dedicated home theater created in collaboration with Paradise Theater, CinemaTech, and Steinway Lyngdorf. Precise acoustic calibration and a variable-aspect-ratio Stewart Vistascope screen deliver the performance the homeowner envisioned while reflecting the same philosophy found throughout the residence: sophisticated technology, intentionally designed around the home and the people who live there.
