Award-Winning Design: Technology in Service of Architecture

We’re grateful to see Mountain Vista recognized with a 2026 Technology Designer Performance Home Award for Best Design.

Great projects are the result of great teams and great partnerships, and this residence is no exception. Working alongside Studio H Design, Alder & Tweed, and Lohss Construction, SAV helped create a home where sophisticated technology supports the architecture, interiors, and everyday experience without competing for attention.

Every exceptional home begins with a vision—but sometimes that vision evolves. When the new homeowner acquired this remarkable mountain residence midway through construction, SAV was presented with a rare opportunity to rethink the home's technology strategy while honoring its architectural intent. Rather than starting over, we carefully evaluated the existing infrastructure, preserving what worked, refining what didn't, and creating a seamless technology ecosystem tailored to the way the family wanted to live.

The result is a residence where lighting, automated shading, entertainment, networking, climate control, security, and whole-home automation quietly support everyday life without competing with the architecture. Every decision was made with restraint, allowing expansive mountain views, natural materials, and carefully crafted interiors to remain the focus while technology works effortlessly in the background.
