Montana Ranch

Award-Winning Home Theater. Elevated Living.

Designed as much for gathering as it is for watching a film, this project reimagined the traditional home theater as a place for movies, music, conversation, and quiet moments alike. Created in collaboration with Montana Expressions Interior Design and Journey & Sons Contractors, the space earned Silver for Best Home Theater in the 2021 CE Pro Home of the Year Awards, recognizing the thoughtful balance of high-performance technology and warm Montana character.

At its core is an immersive Dolby Atmos 9.2.4 theater featuring JBL Synthesis audio, Sony 4K projection, and an acoustically transparent 10-foot screen. But the experience extends well beyond cinema. A McIntosh turntable brings vinyl into the room and connects with the home's distributed audio system, transforming the space from private theater to listening lounge with ease.

Reclaimed lumber, books, comfortable seating, and carefully integrated technology give the room a character all its own. The result is less about having a dedicated home theater and more about creating a favorite room in the house—equally suited to the latest film, an album on vinyl, a glass of wine, or simply settling in with a good book.
